Afflecks Day is Back. Here’s What We’ve Got Planned

Get ready, Afflecks Day is just around the corner, and we’re celebrating in the only way we know how by filling the building with creativity, community, and a full day of activity across every floor.

Taking place across the weekend of April 11th and 12th, this year’s Afflecks Day is all about celebrating the people, passions and independent spirit that make the building what it is. Whether you’re a long-time visitor or planning your first trip, there will be plenty to explore.

Workshops and Creative Activities

We’ve teamed up with some of our amazing traders to bring you a series of hands-on workshops throughout the day, perfect for getting stuck in and trying something new.

On the 2nd floor in SWORN, you will find a full afternoon of DIY activities:

• Make Your Own Phone Case with Cheesecase Factory
  1:00pm to 3:00pm
  Design a phone case that’s completely your own, with plenty of fun materials to choose from.
• DM on Instagram to reserve your spot!

• Kandi Bracelet Making with Dotty Poppy
  3:00pm to 4:30pm
  Get nostalgic and craft your own colourful kandi bracelets to take home.

Over on the 3rd floor, Nevermore Taxidermy will be hosting a:

• Butterfly Pinning Workshop
  12:00pm to 2:00pm
  A unique opportunity to learn traditional techniques in a guided, hands-on session.

On the 1st floor, you can also stop by for:

• Henna with Waxworks
  12:00pm to 4:00pm
  Drop in and get a beautiful henna design while you explore the building.
• No need to book, just walk up

Explore and Discover

Alongside the workshops, there will be plenty more happening throughout the day.

Head to the 2nd floor for tabletop gaming with Relic and Roll, where you can sit down, play, and connect with fellow visitors.

Across the building, expect DJ sets bringing the atmosphere to life, plus our Afflecks Archive Gallery, where you can take a look back at the history of the building through photos, memories and more.

Keep your eyes peeled as you explore. Throughout the day we will be surprising visitors with Random Acts of Afflecks.

From gifted vouchers to merch and other little treats, you never know what you might come across!
