Oasis are back and Manchester is ready.

Afflecks is unveiling a brand new piece of public art by legendary mosaic artist Mark Kennedy, celebrating the city’s most iconic musical brothers: Liam and Noel Gallagher.

In partnership with Definitely Maybe – Manchester’s only Oasis-themed bar and live music venue – the mosaic will be revealed to the public at midday on 1st July 2025, just in time for the band’s massive reunion shows at Heaton Park.

This is more than just a mural, it's a full-on moment for Manchester’s music scene.

A new icon on the mosaic wall

Taking pride of place on the Tib Street side of Afflecks, the mural joins Kennedy’s legendary portraits of local icons like Ian Brown, Emmeline Pankhurst, Eric Cantona and more. Now, the Gallagher brothers are officially part of Manchester’s world-famous mosaic wall.

“It had to be Liam and Noel,” says Mark Kennedy. “The space on the wall was always meant for them.”

As one of Manchester’s most loved cultural hubs, Afflecks is the perfect home for the new artwork – and now also home to Definitely Maybe, a bar packed with Oasis memorabilia, merch, live music and wall-to-wall bangers.

Paul Gallagher, founder of Definitely Maybe, says:
“We’ve had such an incredible welcome since opening. With the reunion coming, we had to mark it properly – this mosaic is for the fans, and for the city.”

Afflecks’ General Manager AJ Martyn adds:
“People come from all over the world to see the mosaic wall. This new piece is a celebration of Manchester music history being made, right now.”
