One of our favourite weekends of the year is nearly here! Manchester Pride is just around the corner and we’re ready to celebrate the only way Afflecks knows how: with colour, creativity, community and a whole lotta love.

Pride is about visibility, joy and expression, and this year we have put on a variety of activities for you all to get involved with - just head up our Church St stairs and turn left to find them. Whether you are a music lover, a tattoo enthusiast or someone who cannot resist snapping a photo of their pet in a rainbow outfit or accessory, there is something waiting for you. Here is what you can look forward to:

🎶 Build the Afflecks Pride playlist

Music has always been at the heart of Pride. It helps us celebrate, connect and tell our stories. At our Pride Playlist Wall, you can add the songs that mean the most to you and help create the ultimate soundtrack to the weekend. Think about the tracks that lift your mood, the queer anthems that make you feel powerful, the ballads that move you, or even the guilty pleasures you secretly love. Every choice counts - the more varied the playlist, the better the party!

All of your suggestions will be combined into the ‘Official Afflecks Pride Playlist’, which will be playing throughout the building all weekend. This is your chance to set the soundtrack and fill Afflecks with the music you love.

🖌️ Design a tattoo, win a tattoo

Have you ever imagined designing your own tattoo? Now you can. As part of our Pride celebrations, we are hosting a Tattoo Design Competition that gives you the chance to put pen to paper and show off your creativity. Your design can be anything that represents something you love. It could be a bold Pride symbol, a tribute to your passions, or a design that simply spreads joy. The only limit is your imagination!

The winning design will be inked by one of our talented artists right here in The Studio. This is your chance to see your idea turned into a real tattoo - making your art (very) permanent! 

🐾 Pet selfie station

Of course, no event would be complete without our furry, feathered or scaly friends. This year we have created a Pet Selfie Station where you can bring along your companion and capture the perfect Pride moment together.

Our team will be keeping an eye out for the most fab photos, so don’t forget to tag us on Instagram, TikTok or Facebook. We will be sharing our favourites on the Afflecks socials all weekend! Extra points if they are rocking rainbow accessories.

Afflecks has always been a space for creativity, inclusivity and individuality, and Pride gives us the chance to highlight those values even more. This weekend we are celebrating our LGBTQ+ community, supporting self-expression in every form and coming together in the spirit of love and acceptance.
